Supreme Court Flags Rising Incidents Of Foreign Accused Absconding After Bail, Seeks Union Response

The Supreme Court in the case The State of Jharkhand v. Alex David @MU Henry observed and has expressed concerns about the recurring instances of foreign citizens, who are accused of crimes, jumping bail and becoming untraceable.

The court in the case observed that the procedures need to be laid down, if not already there, to deal with such instances.
The bench comprising of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah was hearing the present matter.
