Rajasthan CM echoes PM Modi: Nation's growth tied to farmers' progress

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for releasing the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, describing it as a significant step towards empowering farmers and strengthening the agricultural economy.
Under this latest instalment, the central government transferred over 20,500 crore directly into the bank accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers across the country through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sharma echoed the Prime Minister's sentiment, emphasising that the development of the nation is directly linked to the progress and prosperity of its farmers. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rightly said that the nation will not develop until the farmers of the country develop," Sharma noted. He highlighted how the PM-KISAN scheme has emerged as one of the largest and most effective farmer welfare programmes in the world, ensuring timely financial support for landholding farmers.
