Qatar surpasses Singapore's Changi, secures title of world's best airport

Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha, Qatar, soared to the pinnacle of aviation excellence, clinching the prestigious title of the world's best airport at the esteemed Skytrax Awards.

This momentous achievement marked a historic shift as it unseated the long-reigning champion, Singapore Changi Airport, which had held the crown for an impressive 12 consecutive years.
The accolades didn't end there for HIA, as it also secured the coveted titles of 'world's best airport shopping' for the second consecutive year and 'best airport in the Middle East' for an impressive tenth consecutive year. This triple triumph solidified HIA's position as a global leader in airport services and amenities.
Celebrating a legacy of excellence, Hamad International Airport had previously clinched the world's best airport title twice before, with its last victory dating back to 2022. The CEO of HIA, Badr Mohammed AI Meer, expressed profound delight at the timing of this year's accolade, coinciding with the airport's momentous 10th year of operations.
