PM Modi kicks off Uttarakhand summit, Rs 44,000 Cr projects signed

Dehradun witnessed the grand inauguration of the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Forest Research Institute.

The summit, scheduled for 8th and 9th December, gathered over a thousand investors and delegates from across the globe and various sectors, showcasing the state’s potential as a thriving investment destination. The theme, “Peace to Prosperity,” underlined the focus on fostering economic growth while promoting peace and development.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, expressing satisfaction with the completed preparations, highlighted the government’s commitment to establishing Uttarakhand as a lucrative investment hub. The state surpassed its initial investment target of Rs 2.5 lakh crore, already achieving a substantial figure of around Rs 3 lakh crore before the summit, with a range of MoUs signed across diverse sectors. The summit’s groundwork involved extensive efforts, including international roadshows held in London, Birmingham, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai, alongside domestic showcases in major Indian cities like Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. These efforts resulted in significant investment agreements being sealed, marking a milestone in the state’s economic development.
