OPPO and Nokia resolve patent dispute with cross-license agreement

OPPO, based in China, and Finland's Nokia have reachedĀ a global patent cross-license agreement, putting an end to their prolonged 5G patent dispute. The resolution comes after multiple lawsuits in various countries, where OPPO faced challenges in using Nokia's 5G patent technology, leading to sales halts and product delisting in certain regions.

In a press note dated January 24, OPPO announced that it has signed a global patent cross-license agreement with Nokia covering standard-essential patents in 5G and other cellular communication technologies. The company also said that following the agreement, both OPPO and Nokia will resolve all pending litigation in all jurisdictions.
