MHA alters FCRA rules for NGO fund disclosure

Regulations governing the submission of yearly returns by Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) have been modified by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which now requires them to include information about the moveable and immovable assets they have acquired using foreign funds.

By inserting two sections, (ba) details of moveable assets generated out of foreign contribution (as of March 31 of the financial year) and (bb) details of immovable assets formed out of foreign contribution, the MHA changed the Foreign Contribution Regulation Rules, 2010.
