Man duped of Rs75 Lakh in online betting scam in Secunderabad

A 32-year-old man from Secunderabad has fallen victim to a large-scale online betting and casino fraud, losing nearly Rs75 lakh over a period of four years after being lured by fraudsters promising easy and assured profits through illegal betting platforms.
According to the complaint lodged with the Cyber Crimes Police, Hyderabad, the victim first received a WhatsApp message in 2021 from an unknown number posing as representatives of an online betting platform. The message promoted online betting games such as cricket betting, Teen Patti, casino games and so-called “Five Star Cricket Aviator Flight Game,” claiming that players could earn quick and guaranteed profits.
