Madhya Pradesh High Court Grants Centre Two Weeks for Filing Response: PIL for Strict Compliance of Section Mandating Public Awareness of POCSO Act

The court while considering the facts and circumstances of the case observed and has granted two weeks more time to the respondents for filing response to the petition. Accordingly, the court listed the matter for further consideration after two weeks.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court in the case Amitabha Gupta vs. Union of India And Ors, was hearing the Public Interest Litigation, PIL filed seeking strict compliance of Public Awareness of POCSO Act.
The bench in the case observed and has granted two weeks to the Central Government for filing their response and failing which, the response will be accepted but along with a cost for an amount of Rs. 10,000.
The Division bench comprising of Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Vivek Jain was hearing the present matter.
