The Business Guardian
|October 01, 2025
Women’s health is undergoing a transformative shift, with an increasing emphasis on holistic wellness.
According to a Leger research study, 81% of individuals prioritize physical health, while 74% focus on mental well-being, 71% on emotional health, 52% on spiritual health, and 46% on social well-being. This shift underscores the growing need for a balanced approach to wellness that integrates nutrition, fitness, and sleep to support women's overall vitality.
BARRIERS TO WOMEN’S HEALTH IN INDIA
Women in India face several barriers to healthcare, even during this era of increased focus of wellness and holistic treatments. Cultural constraints, socioeconomic limitations, and geographic restrictions hinder many from taking care of their health. Approximately 50 million women in India face reproductive health challenges alongside 50% of women of reproductive age suffering from anemia. All of these conditions hinder a women's overall wellbeing.
The high maternal mortality rate reveals the gaps in healthcare inequities making it hard for women to get necessary attention from medical professionals. Women are often conditioned to prioritize the health of the family making it harder to take care of her well-being discouraging timely medical assistance. Although there is a gradual shift towards women being proactive about their health, there are still gaps for healthcare systems response that need to be addressed.
