Goyal calls for corruptionfree, developed India

As the Rajya Sabha commenced discussions on the Parliament’s 75-year journey, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Leader of the House, called for the transformation of India into a corruption-free and developed nation.

During the five-day session, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar commended the Prime Minister’s vision for a successful G20 Summit and announced that the House would discuss the “Parliamentary Journey of 75 Years Starting from Samvidhan Sabha - Achievements, Experiences, Memories, and Learnings.” Chairman Dhankhar assured all members an opportunity to express their views during the six-hour discussion.
Leader of the Opposition and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge requested the chairman to lift the suspension of two AAP members, Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha, while the House is in session and as it moves into the new Parliament building.
In his opening remarks, Leader of the House Piyush Goyal acknowledged the contributions made by members from various parties during the 75 years in the House. He emphasized the importance of resolving to empower women and striving to make India a corruption-free and developed nation.
