Govt launches special discount on Motor Vehicle Tax

The Delhi government, led by Atishi Singh, made a significant policy decision on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, announcing a special scheme that offers discounts on Motor Vehicle Tax.
Under this scheme, residents can receive up to a 20% discount when purchasing new vehicles by scrapping their old ones.
This initiative aims not only to provide much-needed relief to consumers amid rising inflation but also to reduce the number of old, polluting vehicles on the road by promoting cleaner, modern vehicles.
The scheme, which has been approved by Chief Minister Atishi, will be officially notified soon.
