FESTIVE AUTOMOBILE ROUND-UP: NEW LAUNCHES AND SALES SURGE

The automobile industry's festive offerings continue with a slew of new launches and upgraded versions making it to the dealers. Honda Cars India launched festive editions namely 'Elegant Edition' of its mid-size sedan Honda City and 'Elite Edition' of its popular family sedan Honda Amaze.

These distinctive editions in limited volumes will be offered in both manual transmission (MT) and continuously variable transmission (CVT). The new City offers trunk spoiler with led, wireless charger (plug and play type), front fender garnish, elegant edition seat cover, sleek step illumination, elegant edition badge and leg room lamp. The city versions are priced at Rs. 12,57,400 and Rs 13,82,400. The Honda Amaze comes at Rs 9,03,900 and Rs. 9,85,900.
The company registered monthly domestic sales of 9,861 units in September 2023 with a sales growth of over 13 per cent in comparison to same month last year. The export numbers for HCIL during the month were 1,310 units. "The new mid-size SUV, the Elevate has emerged as a frontrunner and is contributing significantly to the sales momentum during this festive season. The Honda City and Amaze also continue to perform well in their respective segments," says Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing & Sales.
