Ex-Twitter Chiefs sue Musk for $128 million in severance

Former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, along with Chief Legal Officer Vijaya Gadde and two other top executives, has filed a lawsuit against Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, alleging wrongful termination and demanding severance payments totalling USD 128 million.

The lawsuit, filed in the US District Court, Northern District of California, accuses Musk of firing them without cause and reneging on their severance agreements.
According to the 38-page lawsuit, Musk harboured animosity towards Agrawal, Gadde, and the other executives for their representation of Twitter’s shareholders during Musk’s attempt to back out of a deal.
Agrawal, who served as CEO from November 2021 to October 2022, and the others were terminated abruptly without reason, the lawsuit claims.
