Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated across India with great enthusiasm, but in Jaipur — the capital city of Rajasthan — the festival takes on an even more majestic form.

DIWALI SPECIAL - A FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, CULTURE, AND GRANDEUR

(SANJAY KUMAWAT)

Known for its royal heritage and vibrant culture, Jaipur transforms into a dazzling spectacle of lights, music, shopping, and spiritual fervor during Diwali. Every street, market, and monument seems to come alive with colorful decorations, illuminated buildings, and the joyful spirit of celebration.

THE LIGHT SHOW THAT DEFINES JAIPUR'S DIWALI

One of the most spectacular features of Diwali in Jaipur is the way the city is lit up. The Rajasthan government and local businesses join hands every year to deck up the city in lights. Major markets like Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar, MI Road, and Tripolia Bazaar are adorned with intricate light decorations. Each market competes in a citywide lighting contest organized by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation, and the results are breathtaking.
