Delhi HC seeks reply on illegal sale of Waqf property by tenant

The Delhi High Court on Monday sought responses from multiple authorities, including the Delhi Police and the Delhi Waqf Board, regarding the alleged illegal sale of a waqf property by a tenant.
The matter came before the court through a petition filed by the Management Committee of Masjid Parao Wali, represented by advocate Wajeeh Shafiq. The petitioner has urged the court to direct the authorities to take immediate action against those involved in the unauthorized sale and purchase of the waqf property, which is located on Main Babar Pur Road in West Rohtash Nagar, Shahdara.
Justice Tara Vitasta Ganju issued notices to the Delhi Police, Delhi Waqf Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and the individuals identified as the seller and the buyer of the property in question. The court has directed all parties to file their responses within two weeks. The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for May 14.
