CM Sukhu to launch medical emergency departments in all colleges

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that every medical college in the state will have a dedicated Medical Emergency Department, which will be operational within the next six months.
A total of 38 posts have been approved for this initiative. Specialists and super-specialists will be appointed through a structured package. He stated that paramedical staff has been separated from the Director of Health Services and DME staff. Efforts are underway to bring medical college staff under the ambit of medical education. Additionally, to address the shortage of radiographers and lab technicians, the number of seats has been increased.
