Chandigarh to spend Rs150 cr on hospital, schools, hostels, and hockey turf

The Chandigarh administration has taken major steps this year to strengthen the city's infrastructure in the fields of health, education and sports.
The administration has made a total budget provision of Rs 150 crore for these three sectors in the current financial year.
Under this, a new 80-bed hospital will be built in Dhanas at a cost of Rs 80 crore, while there is also a plan to build 4 new government schools and four hostels.
To improve the education sector in the outskirts and densely populated areas of Chandigarh city, new schools will be built in Dhanas, Maloya, Manimajra and Sector 41.
