BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS AND BUILDING A COHESIVE HYBRID WORKFORCE

A Hybrid Workforce offers the best of both in-office and remote working formats and is being increasingly adopted by businesses across industry verticals.

People around the world are enjoying the benefits of hybrid culture. The format is becoming increasingly popular with firms deriving holistic benefits from the part-office and part-home working style.

That said, hybrid work is not without its unique set of challenges and the most prominent one is the silos it creates within the organisation. Lack of physical interaction, communication, and coordination hamper the workforce's ability to effectively communicate, coordinate, and collaborate.

The resulting silos, in turn, hampers the strategic growth and profitability of organisations. A study by PwC found that 55% of the companies experience silos within their operations which costs them around 350 hours per year.

Why Do Silos Exist in Hybrid Workforces?

a) Limited Interactions: In a hybrid company, employees don't often get a chance to physically interact with each other. Unlike in-office work, there is no room for hallway chats, coffee breaks, or lunchroom conversations. This minimises casual talks among employees, which is essential in building and maintaining relationships within or outside their immediate teams.
