Mumbai's International Airport faced a potential threat when an email warning of a bomb plot targeting Terminal 2 was received on Thursday. The sender demanded a payment of USD 1 million in Bitcoin within 48 hours to prevent the purported explosion.

Authorities from the Sahar police initiated legal action against an unidentified individual who utilized the email address 'quaidacasrol@gmail.com' to send the threatening message. The Mumbai Police confirmed the registration of a case following the email's transmission to the feedback inbox of the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) around 11 am on Thursday.
