Birla Corporation Rebounds with Rs 58.3 Crore Net Profit

Birla Corporation Limited, the flagship company of the M P Birla group, reported a noteworthy turnaround in its financial performance for the second quarter ending on September 30, 2023.

The company posted a consolidated post-tax profit of Rs 58.37 crore during this period, marking a significant improvement from the same quarter in the previous year when it had incurred a loss of Rs 56.46 crore.
During the first quarter of the current financial year, the company, primarily known for its cement manufacturing operations, had reported a posttax profit of Rs 59.71 crore, indicating a continued positive trend in its financial results.
One of the key highlights of Birla Corporation's performance in the second quarter was the substantial growth in total income, which increased by 13.3% to reach Rs 2,313.23 crore. This was a significant upswing from the total income of Rs 2,041.58 crore reported during the corresponding period in the previous year.
The company disclosed these figures in a regulatory filing made on a recent Wednesday.
