Aon PLC acquires India's Global Insurance Brokers

International professional services firm, Aon ple (NYSE: AON), is set to acquire Global Insurance Brokers (Global), a leading risk management, insurance, and reinsurance broker in India. The acquisition, pending regulatory approval, intends to combine the prowess of both companies.

Established in 1973, Global boasts a strong heritage, annually serving over 2000 businesses across various sectors through its 18 offices. Their proprietary technology-led platform sets them apart. This acquisition will bolster Aon's capabilities in commercial risk, health, and reinsurance.
Once finalised, Global will operate under Aon's branding and business model, with Jon Pipe, CEO of Aon India Insurance Brokers Pvt Ltd, at the helm. A combined team of over 850 experts will ensure a smooth transition.
