The Allahabad High Court in the case Amandeep Singh State of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home Lko. And 2 Others observed that cases of persons who are carrying firearms inside court premises were on the rise.

The bench headed by Justice Pankaj Bhatia in the case observed and has stated that despite a specific bar in Rule 614-A of The General Rules, Civil on carrying of arms in the premises of Court and directions passed by the Allahabad High Court in the Public Interest Litigation, PIL No.2436 of 2019 In Re Suo Moto which relates to Security and Protection in All Court Campuses in the State of Uttar Pradesh, firearms were being carried within the premises of the Court.
