The Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, T Ashwini Vaishnav, took to social media platform X to announce achievements in the mobile industry.
In a noteworthy post, the Minister disclosed that India's mobile sector has undergone remarkable expansion, experiencing a twentyfold growth in just nine years. Minister Vaishnav shared on X, "Met with the mobile industry to assess progress. The industry has surged 20 times in nine years. In 2014: 78 percent import-dependent; by 2023: 99.2 percent of all mobiles sold in India are 'Made in India."
