The discussion on the supplementary budget in the Jharkhand Assembly witnessed sharp exchanges and personal remarks on Tuesday.

The debate escalated when CP Singh responded to a statement by JMM MLA Samir Mohanty by making personal comments.

Intervening, Minister Sudipya Sonu said that everyone has a past and such remarks should not be dragged into the House. He urged the Speaker to remove the personal allegations.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radhakrishna Kishore also reminded members that the dignity of the House must be upheld and that every member deserves equal respect.

The situation intensified when CP Singh went on to comment about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Radhakrishna Kishore strongly objected, stating that questioning the personal life of the country's first Prime Minister was unacceptable.

The Speaker later ordered all personal remarks to be expunged from the proceedings.
