Escalation of cross-border strikes triggers panic among those studying in border States

TG students scramble to return

As the tensions between India and Pakistan escalated following drones, missiles and aircraft strikes across the borders for the straight second day on Friday night/Saturday, Telangana students pursuing academics in various higher education institutions in the border States are scrambling to return to their hometowns.

As the large shelling and deafening explosions are emerging in States, including Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, students and their parents are spending anxious moments besides sleepless nights.

So far, the Telangana Bhavan, which has set up a dedicated controlled room, has received around 30 SOS calls from distressed students and people who went to North Indian States seeking employment and different purposes
