Busy weekend for church as trio of events are held
Tamworth Herald
|December 11, 2025
LAST weekend was very busy for St. Editha’s Church in Tamworth with three big community events taking place in quick succession.
Santa set up his grotto to greet children during the church's annual Christmas fair.
On Friday evening, December 5, it hosted the annual memorial service by Tamworth Cooperative Society Funeral Service.
It was a packed and emotional event as usual, with carols, soloists, a bagpiper and readings, as people came together to remember their departed loved ones at Christmas time.
This year, the Coop held the service in partnership with Changes Tamworth mental health charity.
