PMC's flagship Road Mitra app, launched to help citizens report potholes, goes offline within six months, prompting urgent restoration directives from municipal authorities

Road Mitra App Goes Offline

Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)’s mobile application ‘Road Mitra’, designed to allow citizens to report potholes and road damage, has reportedly stopped working just six months after its launch, raising concerns about the effectiveness of the civic administration’s digital initiatives.

The app, introduced in August 2025, enabled residents to submit complaints about potholes and damaged roads by uploading photos or videos directly to the civic body. These complaints were then supposed to be forwarded to the PMC road department for timely resolution.
