A NEW leader has been installed at Mole Valley District Council.
Cllr Stephen Cooksey has been at the helm of the Lib Dem-run authority for the past six years, and was the council’s longest-serving leader. He has chosen to stand down to focus on the creation of new unitary authorities.
Bridget Kendrick, councillor for Leatherhead South, who has been deputy for a number of years, has been installed as his replacement, and possibly the last leader of the authority.
