Woking secure league status after 3-0 win over Aldershot
Surrey Advertiser
|April 25, 2025
WOKING produced a scintillating opening 45 minutes to not only avenge their FA Trophy semi-final defeat to rivals Aldershot Town but also to secure their National League status for another season.
The Cards were left wounded at the EBB Stadium a fortnight before as the Shots defeated them 2-1 to book their place at Wembley next month.
And the 1,149 travelling fans in the 4,701 crowd were not shy in reminding them that as well.
However, those vociferous Shots supporters were soon silenced at the Laithwaite Community Stadium on Easter Monday as the Cards raced into a 3-0 lead in the opening 18 minutes.
It could, and probably should have been more come half-time, but Neal Ardley's men had to settle for a 3-0 win thanks to a brace from Tariq Hinds and a Dan Moss goal.
