Fun for all the family

FROM blooming gardens overflowing with blossom and wisteria, fragrant azaleas and rhododendrons, to new exhibitions and VE Day celebrations - put a spring in your step with a visit to National Trust places across Kent, Sussex and Surrey.

Moomins

Nymans - 3 May to 13 July

Nymans invites you to take a magical wander inspired by Moominvalley this spring, with a family trail around the garden, meeting characters from the Moomin stories. Delve into discovering the Moomin family and their friends, living an adventurous life in the idyllic and peaceful Moominvalley in harmony with nature. Come along to Nymans to see the beautiful Moomin-illustrated trail. The event is presented by the Bakehouse Factory. Free trail with usual admission.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar™

Sheffield Park and Garden - 3 May to 22 June; Hatchlands Park - 10 May to 6 July;

Winkworth Arboretum - 19 July to 17 August

Join in with one of nature’s greatest transformations as you become the world’s most famous caterpillar from Eric Carle's best-selling book The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. Wiggle along the trail to spot juicy fruits and tasty snacks before emerging as a beautiful butterfly. Along the way you'll digest fascinating facts and enjoy games and activities in stunning gardens and grounds. Free trail with usual admission.
