Payne calls for character after successive defeats

Horden CW have been urged to show their character and bounce back from last weekend's heavy home defeat against Kendal Town with a positive result and performance at Whitley Bay on Saturday.

Jonny Payne's men have enjoyed a largely positive opening four months of the season and will head to Hillheads sitting within touching distance of the playoff places in the Northern League's top tier.
However, they are also looking to move on from suffering successive defeats against Boro Rangers and Kendal over the last three weeks and life won't get any easier as they face a Whitley Bay side currently sitting in fourth place in the table.
