Decision day looms for plan to revive vandal-hit pavilion

Plans to repair a vandal-hit pavilion building in a Sunderland park to potentially bring it back into use will go before councillors for decision next week.
Mowbray Park Bowls Pavilion, Sunderland
Sunderland City Council's Planning and Highways Committee will discuss a council planning application for the old "bowls pavilion" building in Mowbray Park.
According to planning documents submitted with the application, the building has been "altered/ partially rebuilt from the original building" and the site has "stood vacant since approximately 2015".
