'I feared sleep more than anything... the terrifying thought that d I might not wake up

THERE was a time when Siobhan Hedley was scared to sleep at night for fear that she wouldn't wake up. As a size 36 woman she said her health was "spiralling" and so was her hope of embracing a healthier lifestyle.

"I feared sleep more than anything.

"Every night, panic attacks gripped me with the terrifying thought that I might not wake up. I was 22st 12lbs, battling sleep apnoea, uncontrolled asthma, and the crushing weight of depression", said Siobhan, from Leam Lane.
