Hartlepool close in on play-off spots
Sunday Sun UK
|November 23, 2025
HARTLEPOOL United now lie just five points and one place outside of the playoff spots after they claimed a 2-0 win on their long trip to Eastleigh.
-
After a surprisingly low-key opening 45 minutes, Pools made the perfect start to the second half as Cameron John rounded off a fine team move with a powerful finish beyond Spitfires goalkeeper Nick Townsend.
Things got even better for Nicky Featherstone's side just minutes later when Nathan Sheron rocketed a stunning strike past Townsend to give his side all three points.
