Tom soars to historic hat-trick

STEVE TANDY praised the hosts’ “huge effort" as winger Tom Rogers became the first Welshman ever to score a hat-trick against New Zealand.

The visitors ran in seven tries to end their year on a high, but Wales scored four of their own - including Rogers’ historic haul.

Head coach Tandy said: “There's lots to be proud of and lots to see how we want to go about the game. Some of the tries we scored were outstanding.

“There are things we need to work on and, ultimately, the scoreboard is not what we want.
