Insiders say two hosts 'never friends'

- BY JANINE YAQOOB TV and Showbiz Editor

SHAMED Gregg Wallace turned on his MasterChef co-host John Torode while being grilled about his own behaviour, says a new BBC report.

Wallace is said to have fed information about Torode to the broadcaster and Banijay, the makers of MasterChef.

The report also claims the pair, axed from the show they presented together for 20 years, were never friends.

BBC News said the show's production team were defensive when allegations about Wallace emerged in November, wanting “to ride out the storm” and hoping “the story would go away”.
