ST HELENS captain Jonny Lomax says he always believed he'd bounce back from the axe - and never thought of quitting.
The Saints legend was dropped by boss Paul Wellens after the Challenge Cup quarter-final loss to Warrington in April.
He sat out three games but came back on the bench in the Magic Weekend defeat by Leeds.
Since being returned to the starting line-up the following week, Lomax has helpe deliver four wins from five games to halt St Helens' slide.
