Hill: Norris has all the right stuff... but Verstappen and Piastri are still in title race

DAMON HILL is backing Lando Norris to win the Formula One crown this year but the British legend warned his fellow countryman that there is still plenty of work to be done.

That's because Norris' beleaguered McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, 24 points behind, can still revive his fading championship charge.

And Max Verstappen, even further back, "will not give up while there's even a sliver of a chance".

Norris, 26, has won the past two races to take the title race by the scruff of the neck with three rounds remaining, starting with next weekend's Las Vegas GP.

And 1996 title-winner Hill said: "Lando's found something, hasn't he? And it's been perfect timing. It's come at a time when Oscar suddenly looks a bit forlorn, a bit under pressure.
