Driving test bot alert as slots go for up to £500

DESPERATE learner drivers are being taken for a ride by bots snapping up available test slots.

Tests go online at 6am every Monday, but many are immediately scooped up by people then selling them on for a profit. Some have gone for up to £500, when they would typically be £62 in the week.

The test-swap system which makes this possible was useful during Covid but is now being exploited, a group of 38 MPs say.
