Labour is standing up for our people via health, work, homes & transport

Dragon taking flight

UK politics will feel the impact of the Welsh election in May 2026.

Judging from the tone of debate in the Senedd, the campaign has already begun!

At a time of so much division, the question we all face is whether to look forward with hope and determination or go back to the old divisive rhetoric of the past.

I have set out a clear path for the Welsh Labour Government with my Red Welsh Way - red, the colour of our sports teams and our dragon. But its message is directly relevant to the parts of England that have had more power devolved to them.

What we in the Welsh Labour Government have shown is we can stand up for our people, speak out if UK policies do not work for us, and at the same time work closely with the Labour Government in Westminster for the benefit of the people of Wales, because we share values of fairness, respect and hope.
