Mum’s weight crept on as she cared for her two kids

A MIDLAND mum who gained weight from “double dinners” has lost over 5st.

Amie Blumfield, 35, said she found it “impossible” to shift pregnancy weight after becoming a mum in 2010, aged just 20.

The weight continued to creep on when she welcomed her second child in 2020.

But years of second helpings for dinner took their toll and by 2021, Amie tipped the scales at 15st 13lb.

The make-up artist decided “enough was enough” and started slimming her portions, going to the gym four times a week and walking 10,000 steps each day.

Within a year, Amie lost over 4st and continued to lose weight - and now she’s dropped to a svelte 10st 9lbs and wears a UK size 8 after losing a total of 5st 4lb.

Amie, from Shrewsbury, Shropshire, said: “Becoming a mum has been an absolute blessing, but I did neglect myself.
