Parents’ £690 court bill after refusing to pay £480 hols fine

A MIDLAND mum and dad have been issued a hefty fine after losing a court battle for taking their children out of school during term-time.

Tammy and Daniel Lambert originally decided to book a holiday during the school year, as they hoped it would mean a “quieter” setting for their autistic son.

Riley, the couple’s son, had been waiting for an autism assessment around the time of the trip, with the boy since having been diagnosed with the condition after two years on the waiting list.
