Man made assassination kits in his back garden
Sunday Mercury
|June 15, 2025
A MIDLAND weapons enthusiast who crafted "assassination kits" for criminal gangs in his back garden is now facing time behind bars.

Ronald Knowles, 64, transformed approximately 33 imitation pistols into live firearms and produced bullets for 80 deadly kits.
Each kit was neatly packed into boxes with silencers and latex gloves to aid the shooters in evading detection.
Knowles assembled these kits from a workshop at his residence in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
He then handed them over to infamous “drugs general” Gary Hardy, 61, who sold them from his home in Ravenshead, Notts.
