THE family of a tragic dad who died just nine days after going to the hospital have been learning how the money they have raised in his name has been spent.
Kevin Maloney's family and friends have so far raised nearly £23,000 in his memory after his shock death from a brain tumour in 2019.
The dad-of two was initially diagnosed with an aggressive tumour in February 2018, but died in May 2019, less than a fortnight after an MRI scan revealed his cancer had returned
His wife Annette said: "Kevin's health deteriorated in the flick of a switch. He was talking gibberish and kept repeating himself."
Kevin died at the age of 54, leaving behind Annette and their two daughters, Paige, 22, and Eve, 20.
