FAMILIES FUME AT HOMES PLAN ON LANDSLIP ESTATE
Sunday Mercury
|June 29, 2025
RESIDENTS are fuming at plans to extend their estate after it was cut off by two landslides.
Families say they have been plagued by problems since they moved into their £400,000 properties in Cradley Heath.
Some have been cut off from their homes for more than six months after two separate landslides blocked their road last March and again just before Christmas.
Around a dozen residents of Haden Cross Drive are still unable to park on their driveways after earth and rubble tumbled across the street just feet from their front doors.
Others have complained about other issues which they say have left the site unsafe, including unlit streetlights and problems with their sewers.
And they say they are baffled that Dunedin Homes wants to build six more homes as they haven't finished the existing area.
The developer wants to build six new homes on a new cul-de-sac 150 metres away from Haden Cross Drive.
