IT WASN'T just September 1 that marked the start of autumn this week.
-
Nothing heralds the change in the air and the dark nights creeping in like the new series of Bake Off.
Although the first series started mid-August with Edd Kimber being crowned the first winner on September 21 that year.
Fifteen years on and we still have Paul Hollywood but it's now on Channel 4 and is very much held in the same regard as Strictly when it comes to the changing of the seasons.
When the series switched to C4 it was front-page news.
