VAC SENDS OUT A WRONG IMAGE
Sunday Mail

STRONGLY worded. Strategically timed. Strikingly obvious, so far as I can see, with regard to intent.

Rangers' statement was commendably direct on the subject of UEFA's action against the club because home fans displayed what the governing body described as a “racist and/ or discriminatory banner” during the Europa League tie against Fenerbahce.
They were effectively disowning an element of their own support and the use of terms like “deeply saddening” and “frankly embarrassing” to describe the actions of the misguided was startling.
Likewise, the invitation to stop darkening the club's doorstep that was sent out to the banner-wavers via the statement was a remarkable display of disdain for that kind of misbehaviour.
"If you think such behaviour is acceptable you are not welcome at Rangers matches" was a powerful put-down.
