The Glasto grans

AROUND one in 10 fans at Glastonbury have grandchildren - and many take them with them.

It means some of the audience are as grizzled as this year's veteran acts Neil Young, 79, and grandad-of-four Rod Stewart, 80.

A poll found Glasto is the UKs' most family-friendly festival.

Over 40 per cent of the audience are parents, grandparents or kids accompanying them.

And 13 per cent are with more than one generation of the same family, compared with 10 per cent at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Grandparents-of-14 Margaret and Douglas Ferguson, From Bearsden, near Glasgow, will be attending Glastonbury this year for the first time.
