Calmac: Shoot-out miss my worst moment but I always bounce back
CALLUM MCGREGOR hasn't had many low points as Celtic captain.
But yesterday at Hampden the Hoops stalwart admits he suffered his worst EVER moment on a football pitch.
The skipper missed a vital spot-kick in the Scottish Cup Final - along with Alistair Johnston which allowed Aberdeen to lift the trophy.
McGregor had been one of Celtic's best players over the 120 minutes, which ended 1-1 after two own goals from Alfie Dorrington and Kasper Schmeichel.
This was McGregor's 15th final at Celtic and the FIRST he has lost.
He was disconsolate and had to be lifted up by gaffer Brendan Rodgers.
McGregor has been a serial winner at Parkhead and admits the feeling he endured is one he can't get used to.
The 31-year-old fronted up afterwards and vowed to show the mental fortitude required to recover from the setback and go again next term.
A brutally honest McGregor said: "That's the worst. I'll just need to try and get away, get over it, come back next year and be stronger. It's a tough moment for me personally. But I've had tough moments before.
"This is probably the toughest one when you take everything into consideration. But listen, I've bounced back from difficult positions before. It will take me a while to get over it.
