Jens happy to see hero add to value
-
MOTHERWELL boss Jens Berthel Askou insists he was delighted to see in-demand Tawanda Maswanhise score twice - because it sent his value soaring.
The Zimbabwe striker's first-half double was enough to sink sorry Livingston and send Well to within two points of third-placed Celtic.
Maswanhise has been heavily linked with a number of clubs in the transfer window, including the Hoops and Blackburn.
And after seeing him take his tally for the season to 18, Berthel Askou insists he is not fretting about losing Maswanhise before tomorrow night's transfer deadline.
Asked if he expects a worrying few days, the Dane said: “No. JT’s (Maswanhise) goals are going to add value to him, the team and the club.
“I never said he wasn't for sale but I said we don't have a plan to sell him now. That's the plan we are following.
“Eventually, he is for sale, it's just not now.
